UniBe wants to distinguish itself as an excellent employer. This action area deals with working time models, flexible employment contracts and attainable goals for different target groups.
More flexible employment models, a right to further training, working from home and remote working if desired, or offering more job sharing and job splitting: What constitutes attractive employment conditions depends on the employee's function, stage of life, and personal circumstances. Over the next 20 years, the University of Bern intends to evolve with the needs of its employees and ensure ongoing improvements in employment conditions.
The promotion of young researchers at all levels is especially aimed at improving the transparency, plannability, and support of academic careers. To this end, the University continuously reviews its promotion and employment conditions in order to evaluate and implement targeted measures.
